The defending champions, the United States women’s national basketball team, are perceived as the Australian Opals’ main competitors. In the last three Olympic Games the Opals got silver medals. In each of these cases the United States got first place. Coach Carrie Graf said “thinking about the US too soon in inappropriate”, “Our focus is first and foremost, game by game winning our pool”. Amongst the Australian Opals’ competitors in the pool are Brazil, Russia, and Great Britain. Carrie Graf said Great Britain “will put up a fight on home turf” but there is a “world class [AIS] facility” and “world class medical support staff” supporting the team.

Australian Opal player Penny Taylor recently suffered injury from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, meaning she cannot play Olympics this year. In regards to the situation player Lauren Jackson, who is going into her fourth Olympics, said “you would never wish that upon anybody.” She says as a team they have to “move on, move through that” and “come together” to pick up their offence and defense. Despite the loss of one of their key players she says “we definitely have the talent there” and the team is all “on the same page.” She feels “pretty confident” and speaks of “very exciting” times ahead. Jenna O’Hea is going into her first Olympics with the team. She is still “pinching” herself and says she is taking it “day by day”.

A typical day at the camp might start with a 7.00am – 8.30am breakfast at the AIS Dining hall, before one and a half or two hours of court, gym, or swimming training. The middle of each day might consist of media meetings, medical checks, team meetings, and time to practise shooting. Around 12.00pm, the players meet to eat lunch and recover from the morning. The afternoon typically consists of more training, and some scrimmage games. Players usually finish around 7.00pm for dinner, and perhaps a massage.

The nineteen players in attendance this week at training camp were Suzy Batkovic, Abby Bishop, Elizabeth Cambage, Rohanee Cox, Cayla Francis, Kristi Harrower, Laura Hodges, Natalie Hurst, Lauren Jackson, Rachel Jarry, Kathleen MacLeod, Jenna O’Hea, Samantha Richards, Jennifer Screen, Belinda Snell, Marianna Tolo, Kristen Veal, Carly Wilson, and Hanna Zavecz. Basketball Australia has named fifteen players that are to attend the second phase of the camp: Suzy Batkovic, Abby Bishop, Elizabeth Cambage, Kristi Harrower, Laura Hodges, Lauren Jackson, Rachel Jarry, Kathleen MacLeod, Jenna O’Hea, Erin Phillips, Samantha Richards, Jennifer Screen, Belinda Snell, Marianna Tolo, and Hanna Zavecz.

The Abuse We Still Don’t Talk About

  • Find Out More About:
  • Family Lawyer Armidale

By Susan Dunn

The Chinese have a saying: “The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their right name.’ As the holidays approach, well there’s a reason why all these movies lately about those terrible “family get-togethers.”

SPOUSAL ABUSE

Great strides have been made with spousal abuse, which mostly happens to women. As a society, we shined alight into the corners and exposed something that at one time men thought was their ‘right’ and ‘privilege,’ even ‘duty’ as husbands and father for what it is – bullying by someone too immature to contain their emotions or control their behavior who resorts to violence to get what they want or to express their frustration.

These two videos, allegedly developed in Canada for Domestic Violence awareness, tell it like it is: http://www.break.com/index/canadianpsa2.html

And http://www.break.com/index/canadianpsa1.html

It took an educational campaign because at one time spousal abuse was even legalized. Take a look at one of those websites with ‘ridiculous laws’ and you’ll find laws still on the books like not being able to beat your wife with anything bigger than a baseball bat, or without her permission first. The assumption was that only men could own property, and their women and children were property to do with as they wished.

CHILD & ELDER ABUSE

We have also made strides in the areas of child abuse and elder abuse, by the same 3-pronged attack: (1) Raising awareness; (2) legislation and punishment; and (3) treatment. We understand that throwing someone in jail, or slapping their wrist is treating a symptom, not providing a cure. Court-ordered anger-management programs are a step in the right direction; hopefully these will soon be court-ordered emotional intelligence programs, because there’s more involved than just anger, and as long as you have someone’s attention, you might as well teach them something really worthwhile, like EQ.

BULLYING & MOBBING IN THE WORKPPLACE

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0RbzGIjkjU[/youtube]

We are also starting to address violence in the workplace, in the form of “bullying” and “mobbing.” (See www.webstrategies.cc/mobbing.htm ). Since we have labeled it “bullying” and “mobbing,” it now officially exists and is no longer part of the woodwork, something expected. Every week I get an email from someone saying, “I didn’t know there was a name for this. Thank you.”

BUT THESE KIDS ARE LEARNING “HOW TO GET ALONG”

There remains another form of abuse to be named. In coaching, I hear = about it frequently. You probably do too, but you don’t recognize it as abuse because it sounds like this:

1.”My big brother? Best thing that ever happened to me. Beat me up every day and made me tough.”

2.”They fought constantly. Finally I gave up and would just go to my room and shut the door.”

3.”My sister got everyone at school to call me ‘Fatso.’ My dad thought it was funny. Is it any wonder I weigh 350 lbs. now? What I’m really mad about is that Mom didn’t do something.”

4.”When they got divorced, Mom would make my older brother babysit

me. He’d have his friends over, they’d get drunk and start picking on me. It even got sexual sometimes.”

5.”We only had one TV and Dad insisted we share, so my sister said

she would beat me up if I didn’t choose what she wanted. She said if I told Dad, she’d ‘kill me.'”

6.”Mom and Dad were always comparing us, always negative, like ‘Why

can’t you be neat like Tom?’ When I think back, Tom may have been neat, but I got good grades. Anyway, it made us hate each other.”

SIBLING ABUSE

Yes, what we’re talking about is SIBLING ABUSE. It isn’t just “kids being kids,” it’s abuse, including sexual abuse, that can have a lasting effect.

Like spousal abuse 25 years ago, people talk about it like it’s to be expected, or, if extreme will say, “Well she must’ve deserved it.” It is not recognized as something wrong to do; in fact it’s often considered helpful.

Victims of sibling abuse do NOT learn “how to get along.” They learn how to fight – aggressively if they have the edge; passively if they do not. Their attitude toward peers will be defensive. They harbor rage, depression, shyness, avoidance or aggression and are unable to form good social or work relationships with peers. They have low self-esteem and the victim mentality (or conversely, turn into bullies themselves), like other abusers, but unlike other abusers they will not get help, because “nothing happened.” Abuse from siblings has no texture, no fiber, no face.

It’s natural to resent, and feel anger and envy. How to understand and manage the behaviors, and what to do, must be monitored and shaped. In other words, children need to be actively taught emotional intelligence.

A special breeding ground is the step- or blended family. It’s another adjustment for the children, and means their parent’s attention is split once again. As Step-parenting Expert on about.com’s Ask the Expert, I get more questions all the time. Whether the children resort to silently ignoring or aggressively battling the “other side,” it takes = leadership and commitment on the part of the parents to forge a family not just a bunch of people reluctantly house under the same roof. =

What you want to do is teach the children emotional intelligence, which includes managing negative feelings, understanding that others have feelings, practicing empathy, and learning interpersonal skills such a negotiating and conflict resolution.

Small things, the children can be taught to handle by themselves. Big things, such as put-downs and victimizing, you must address yourself. To ignore them is to condone them.

Unsupervised, and allowed to compete and bully, the scenario can be like the Discovery channel. The bird born first (by a day or 3) has a permanent advantage over the second one and will push it aside to get the worms, peck it, smother it, push it out of the nest, or even kill and eat it. The size differential is too great and the parents are too oblivious.

As a parent you need to notice who is getting the worms. It is your job. Make the decision that you will teach your children harmony, team spirit, empathy, compassion, and nuturing. My ebook, “Developing Your Child’s EQ” can help. Hone your own skills first, with the EQ Alive! Program, so that you can join in. It’s something to do with your children; that’s part of it. Learn as much as you can, because you are always modeling behaviors and attitudes, whether you intend to or not. The children are watching.

And help spread the word. Call it by its right name.

U.S. automaker GM plans to close 1,100 dealerships

Friday, May 15, 2009

American automobile manufacturer General Motors (GM) announced plans Friday to shut down about 1,100 of its dealerships, in an effort to evade bankruptcy and lower its expenditures.

GM’s move comes a day after Chrysler, another U.S. car maker, released a list of 789 dealerships that it was closing. Unlike Chrylser, GM will not publicly announce the dealerships that it intends to shut down. Instead, dealerships whose franchises won’t be renewed after October of next year will receive a private letter telling them of the decision.

At the moment, GM has 6,246 dealers in the U.S. It intends to reduce that number to 3,605 by the end of 2010. GM said the dealerships that were to be closed are “underperforming and very small sales volume U.S. dealers.”

“They’re dealerships that are in most cases hurting, losing money, and in danger of going out of business anyway,” said GM’s sales, service, and marketing vice president in a telephone conference. “It’s a move that people could argue should have been taken years ago but this leadership team had no choice but to do it today.”

The dealers that are to be closed represent 18% of the firm’s dealership network, but only 7% of GM’s 2008 revenue.

Massachusetts lawmakers enact plan for universal health coverage

Friday, April 7, 2006Legislators in the Massachusetts General Court, their name for the state legislature, approved legislation on Tuesday, April 4, that would make it the first state in the United States to require all residents to have health insurance and impose penalties for non-compliance. Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, a Republican who is expected to run for U.S. President in 2008, is expected to sign the bill.

The bill passed the lower house, the Massachusetts House of Representatives by a vote of 155-2, and unanimously by the state senate. The Democratic Party holds supermajorities in both houses of the legislature.

Among the bill’s provisions are these:

  1. Businesses that employ more than 10 people are required to provide health insurance for all staff or face fines of $295 per year per uninsured worker.
  2. Individuals will be required to enroll in a health plan by July 1, 2007, or face tax penalties.
  3. Health insurers will provide partially to fully subsidized coverage for low-income residents.

At least one other state (Hawaii) requires employers to provide employee health insurance, but no other state holds individuals accountable for coverage.

The third and last bidder for Singapore’s Sentosa Integrated Resort (IR) project, Eighth Wonder, submitted its development plan yesterday: a SGD 5.5 billion(USD 3.52 billion) eco-friendly casino known as “Harry’s Island”.

Harry’s Island will boast 10 luxury, family-oriented hotels, a tree house with family suites, and a 7,500-seat Caldera theater which will feature nightly spectacular shows.

Eighth Wonder says it wants to make Harry’s Island a world-class, must-see tourist destination and has roped-in several big names in its tender. Cryptocurrency Wallet Development Realizes The Future Of Payments

  • Find Out More About:
  • Dianne Phuong Nguyen

There is an uncompromising upward trajectory when it comes to crypto prices. There is a drastic increase in the number of individuals investing in digital currencies and as a result, cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Bitcoin are hitting their all-time highs. Every year, we witness new entrants in the global digital currency wallets, leaving plenty of options for the investors. All of this means that there will be an increase in the demand for cryptocurrency wallet development.

Cryptocurrencies can be stored in a variety of wallet options. Similar to a password, the cryptocurrency wallets store a private key for every individual coin. The best way to recharge cryptocurrency to a digital wallet is to do it via a cryptocurrency exchange that people use to buy currency (Id Est Gemini or Coinbase). However, many mainstream companies like Robinhood and Paypal also incorporate options to buy, store, and sell cryptocurrency.

What is Cryptocurrency?

Protected by cryptography, cryptocurrencies are a form of virtual currency that is nearly impossible to counterfeit or double-spend. Most of the cryptocurrencies are built on distributed ledgers and use decentralized networks which are built on blockchain technology. Cryptocurrencies are not issued by central government authorities, which makes them immune to government policies across the globe.

How Do Cryptocurrency Wallets Function?

  • The wallet stores crypto transactions in an unalterable blockchain network.
  • The cryptocurrency wallet contains all the public as well as private keys related to the currencies.
  • When a wallet user sends cryptocurrencies to another user, he actually transfers the digital coin ownership to the recipient.
  • The users are only allowed to transfer their digital coins if their private key matches the public key.
  • The public key is used to receive the funds whereas the private key is used to validate the transactions.

Types of Cryptocurrency Wallets1. Desktop Wallets

Desktop cryptocurrency wallets can be downloaded on a desktop PC or a laptop and only be accessed via that particular computer. Most desktop wallets are secure, however their security can be compromised if there is a cyberattack on your computer. In the case of a virus or hack, the users would lose all of their funds. Some popular examples of desktop wallets are Bitcoin Knots and Armory.

2. Virtual Wallets

Virtual wallets for cryptocurrency are based on the cloud and can be accessed from any location using any device. Storing private keys online has become safer and convenient with the advent of blockchain technology. Still, they are vulnerable to cyberattacks, and there is a chance of theft, as cloud services are controlled and managed by third-parties.

3. Mobile Wallets

These cryptocurrency wallets can be accessed from mobile devices using an app. Many retail stores and supermarkets accept payments via mobile cryptocurrency wallets. However, mobile wallets have more limited cold storage capacity than desktop wallets. Some popular examples of mobile cryptocurrency wallets are Bither, Green Address, and BitGo.

4. Hardware Wallets

Hardware wallets are very different from mobile, desktop, and virtual wallets, as they don’t store user’s private keys online. Instead the keys are stored on a hardware drive like USB. These cryptocurrency wallets incorporate robust security measures and are capable of executing online transactions. Hardware wallets support various digital currencies and are compatible with different web interfaces. Some popular hardware wallets are Ledger Nano S, Keep Key, and Trezor.

5. Paper Wallets

Paper cryptocurrency wallets are the most secure means to store cryptocurrencies. The software generates the private and public keys that can be printed. The wallet holders can easily transfer funds from their software wallets to a paper wallet. The users can scan their QR codes to transfer friends back to the software wallets.Bitaddressis a perfect example of paper cryptocurrency wallet.

Current Cryptocurrency Trends in the Market

Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency developed and all other cryptocurrencies developed post-bitcoin launch are often denoted as Altcoins or alternate coins. Being the best alternative to fiat currency, cryptocurrencies will surely disrupt the current monetary system.

As per Markets and Markets, In 2019, the cryptocurrency market was valued at $1.03 billion. Moreover, by the end of 2024 the market is projected to grow to $1.40 billion with a CAGR of 6.18% during this period. The high cost of cross-border remittance, monetary value fluctuations, investment growth in crypto venture capital, and the transparency that distributed ledger technology brings have influenced the market growth.

Leading Cryptocurrency Wallets in 2021

Majourly, the cryptocurrency wallets can be divided into two categories – Software Wallets and Hardware Wallets.

Best Hardware Wallets for Cryptocurrency1. Ledger Nano S

Since its inception in 2014, the Ledger Company has made big strides. This hardware wallet is perfect for anyone who is serious about their cryptocurrency security. Ledger Nano S has its own operating system called BOLOS and features 2-factor authentication.

2. Trezor One

Trezor is renowned for developing the first hardware cryptocurrency wallet using modern cryptography. The Trezor One crypto wallet was designed and developed in Czech Republic by a stellar cyber security team and cryptocurrency advocates. In Czech, the word trezor translates to “vault”. Similar to Ledger Nano S, Trezor One also use two-factor authentication to authenticate transactions.

Best Software Wallets for Cryptocurrency1. Coinbase

With a motive to enable anyone access Bitcoin anywhere, Coinbase is the catalyst in creating an open financial infrastructure. Currently, more than 35 million users across 100 countries trust Coinbase for their cryptocurrency related transactions.

2. Gemini

Gemini is the industry-leading cryptocurrency exchange accessible via both mobile and PC. The app users can track cryptocurrency prices in real-time using the app itself. The app also allows users to set price alerts so that the users can act immediately on price fluctuations.

Steps for Cryptocurrency Wallet Development

It isn’t easy to develop a cryptocurrency wallet that is user-friendly and secure at the same time. The cryptocurrency wallet developers need to have a clear understanding of which type of wallet application they want to build. The following are the typical process for cryptocurrency wallet development:

1. Define Your Cryptocurrency App Type and Concept

As there are several cryptocurrency wallet apps already out there, there is no need for you to reinvent the wheel. Your app idea can be similar to the existing cryptocurrency wallets; hence, you can learn from your competitors and speed up your cryptocurrency wallet development process.

Your answer to the following questions will help you define the crowdfunding app concept:

  • What type of cryptocurrency wallet do you want to develop?
  • What will be the USP of your cryptocurrency wallet?
  • Which cryptocurrencies do you want to support with your app?
  • How will you differentiate your app from the competition?

2. Evaluate Existing Market Scenario

When you know the type of cryptocurrency app that you want to develop, it’s time for you to analyze the market. In the earlier section of this article I’ve talked about the types and trends of cryptocurrency wallets, and the top existing cryptocurrency e-wallets in the market.

I recommend you to do a SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis to know how to win the competition. Try to identify the USP of top cryptocurrency wallet apps and replicate the strategies for your app.

3. Design UI/UX

Yes, designing FinTech apps is quite challenging. ManyFinTech developersdirectly skip to UI/UX designing without creating mockups for their apps. To be noted that mockups are essential when it comes to FinTech app development. Wireframes and mockups allow FinTech companies to identify user flow and build user-friendly information architecture. At Nimble AppGenie, our designers use Mockingbot and Axure for wireframing and mockups.

4. Develop Technical Architecture and Backend

Your cryptocurrency app performance heavily depends on the technical architecture. Several aspects like user interface, database, workflow, service tools are part of the technical architecture. You can refer to the following illustration to understand technical architecture better.

When your cryptocurrency app’s technical architecture is ready, you should start developing the backend. Backend development is a lengthy process as the developers would have to set up the development environment and build internal and integrate external APIs to create robust app’s backend.

For backend development, you either use a SaaS solution or develop the entire infrastructure by yourself. I prefer using a ready to implement SaaS solution i.e. Cloudkit, AWS Mobile Hub, and Firebase. By using SaaS software solutions, we are able to save time and money for our clients. However, apps that require personalized features and have rigid requirements need to be developed from scratch.

Some other recommendations for cryptocurrency wallet backend development are:

Use Bitcoin libraries for iOS and Android.Since most of the cryptocurrencies are open source, there is no need to reinvent the wheel to create your cryptocurrency wallet. It is sufficient to utilize specific libraries like Coinbase SDK or Bitcoin SDK. Based on the type of your cryptocurrency wallet, we can suggest the best technology for developing your app.

Synchronize your wallet into the blockchain via several APIs. Distributed ledger Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) will allow you to synchronize your cryptocurrency wallet with the blockchain ecosystem. The most common APIs are Factom, Bitcore, and Coinbase.

Add payment feature. If you want your users to make payments via your app, you should empower them with the ability to pay via cryptocurrency. You can integrate cryptocurrency payment services like BitPay or BitPOS to enable this functionality in your app.

5. Frontend Development

First thing first, you need a responsive design. Your app should respond immediately when users input a command. The user experience needs to be top-notch. The most crucial thing about the cryptocurrency wallet frontend is that it should prove the crypto benefits with a sense of reliability. The wallet will be accessing real-time crypto market data, which is very essential for their decision making.

TheFinTech UX/UXdesigners will replicate the designs created during the wireframing and mockups process. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are among the primary technologies UI/UX designers use to develop app frontend. They’ll be integrating several third-party APIs to gather real-time currency data from the market.

6. Testing

Testing is an indispensable part of everysoftware development life cycle. No matter whichsoftware development methodologyyou are using, testing will be there at the end of every sprint. The quality analysts check the app functionalities and code, and also compare it with theoriginal requirement document.

When the first testing spring is done, the QA team forwards the software code back to the development teams and asks them to resolve the errors/bugs. Afterwards, the development team makes the required changes and sends the final draft back to the QA team. The app can only be released when it gets a green flag from the QA team.

Necessary Features for Cryptocurrency Wallets

Features for cryptocurrency wallets are no different than other FinTech applications. Starting from the seamless registration process, followed by KYC and AML compliances, the cryptocurrency app would require you to pay significant attention to the user experience because app abandonment rate is high when it comes to FinTech apps.

Features like Trading and exchange are quite difficult to implement in comparison to the process forinvestment apps. Cryptocurrency apps are required to be integrated with the cryptocurrency ecosystem in order to receive real-time updates.

However, following are the feature you should consider incorporating in your cryptocurrency wallet app:

  1. Seamless onboarding
  2. User account management
  3. Robust security
  4. QR-code scanning
  5. Cryptocurrency management (send, receive, and store cryptocurrencies)
  6. Trading and exchange cryptocurrencies
  7. Push notifications

Conclusion

Indeed, cryptocurrencies are the future of digital payments. The rise of bitcoin has impacted the global monetary ecosystem. Several studies have revealed that the cryptocurrencies market will continue to grow and reach unprecedented levels.

Keeping this growth in mind, it is evident that there will be an increase in the demand for cryptocurrency wallet development. Venezuela opens granite processing facility in Bolívar

Monday, February 18, 2013

Venezuela’s government has opened a granite processing plant in the state of Bolívar, with the intention of providing about 25% of the granite required nationwide.

Ricardo Menéndez, vice president of the Productive Economic Area, said Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez has yearned for the creation of this project to empower Venezuelan construction. Granito Bolívar is reportedly the most modern Venezuelan granite plant, not consuming community water or electricity, and is also the largest, with a daily capacity to supply enough material for use in construction of about 820 houses.

Menéndez said, “These granite blocks are the natural resources of our country, are the wealth we have as a country and often [some] simply decided to remove this richness from our country and take them to other countries” ((es))Spanish language: ?Esos bloques de granito son la riquezas naturales de nuestro país, son las riquezas que tenemos como patria y que muchas veces sencillamente esas riquezas decidieron sacarlas de nuestro territorio nacional y llevarlas a otros países.

According to Menéndez, with the help of a state plan, Venezuela intends to exploit its 40,000 million cubic meters or more of granite reserves, generating a set of factories. “[T]he central theme is that these plants, all these factories, are for the construction of socialism; that means using our potential, develop the value chain within the country and of course that yields benefits from the point of view of the production system’s organization…. [Granito] Bolívar is not only the vision that historically we had of exposing richness, but the industries, basic industries we have, that level of our workers in the basic industries and in addition the development of the potential we have in the state” ((es))Spanish language: ?el tema central es que estas plantas todas estas fábricas son para la construcción del socialismo, eso significa utilizar nuestras potencialidades, dessarrollar la cadena de valor dentro del país y por supuesto que eso genere beneficios desde el punto de vista de la organización del sistema productivo …

For the construction of the plant, supplied by 23 quarries, the government of Bolívar provided about 30 million bolívares (US$4.7 million) and the national government €2.3 million (US$3 million). Bolívar reportedly has reserves of about 40,000 million tons of red, black, pink and white granite, sufficient for domestic demand for 200 years.

Excessive Sweat Why Does Hyperhidrosis Occur?

Excessive Sweat – Why Does Hyperhidrosis Occur? By Michael Rad

The body needs sweat in order to cool down when the temperatures become too high. In nature, we see many creatures using different methods to keep a constant body temperature – sweating is our way of doing it. Unfortunately, some people experience excessive sweat, a condition known as hyperhidrosis, in which the sweat levels are higher than necessary. The condition occurs because of the overactive sympathetic nervous system. Hyperhidrosis causes

The central command center for sweat related processes is the hypothalamus. The brain sends information to the sweat nerves which then pass it along to the sweat glands. When shis system gets overactive, the sweat glends produce larger amounts of sweat, resulting in the condition known as hyperhidrosis. Different stimuli can contribute to this process. The most common include nervousness, outside pressure, anxiety, stress.

Social interactions may also trigger excessive sweat, because they are the environtments when all of the above mentioned factors become active. When a person suffering from hyperhidrosis is engaged in social interactions the strength of the outside stimuli increases, making that person more susceptible to sweat extensively.

Antiperspirants are useful for treating milder cases of hyperhidrosis, as they can diminsih the negative effects of excessive sweating. By targeting specific sweat glands, antiperspirants significantly reduce the sweat production and increase the dryness of the skin in the areas where they are applied. Various products come in different forms, such as deodoratns and medication. Deodorants are the most widespread form of antiperspirant, as they are easy to use and producce very little or no discomfort. Deodorants are mostly used to treat excessive underarm sweating. Treatment for axillary hyperhidrosis

One of the most effective chemical compounds used for hyperhidrosis treatment is Aluminum Chloride. Used in higher concentrations, Aluminum Chloride has a faster impact on the sweat glands, reducing their excessive production. One of the antiperspirants that use Aluminum Chloride successfully is Drysol, a good choice for people suffering from mild forms of axillary hyperhidrosis. Drysol does reduce the amount of sweat generated by the underarms, but it may also cause skin iritations if used excessively. Applying Drysol works best at night time, when the sweat glands show a reduced activity, and long term results may show some improvement of excessive sweating of the armpits.
