The Mitsubishi Eclipse is a sleek elegant little sports car that has been around for more than a decade. It is one of the most affordable sports cars and is available as a two door coupe or Spyder convertible. For even more options, you can get either the GS or GT model. The GT comes with dual exhaust that is set to increase horsepower and new HID headlights for safety and reliability. All the other 2009 models have a redesigned front and rear. Like all Mitsubishi cars, the eclipse comes with a high safety rating.

All the Mitsubishi Eclipse models are available in front wheel drive but with variations in the engine types. The GS hardtop and GS Spyder are equipped with 2.4-liter SOHC Mitsubishi engines with four cylinders capable of producing 162 horsepower. The GS models have a standard 5-speed manual or 5-speed Sportronic automatic transmission and anti-lock braking system. For safety, they are equipped with a six-airbag system for all the occupants. These models were also manufactured with comfort in mind as they include a Mitsubishi mp3/CD compatible audio system with six speakers, air conditioning, auto-off halogen headlamps, power windows, locks and mirrors. The GS is also equipped with an anti-theft immobilizer improving on security and 17-inch alloy wheels and rear spoiler for a sleek look.
